Dr Mark Perko attended school at St Josephs College in Hunters Hill and then graduated from the University of Sydney in 1979.

He completed his orthopaedic training with the Sydney programme in 1987 and obtained accreditation with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and as a fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association.

He has completed additional specialist training in Sydney with Dr Merv Cross and Assoc. Prof Leo Pinczewski at the North Sydney Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Centre (NSOSMC).

Dr Perko has had additional training in hand and upper limb surgery in the USA at the Hand to Shoulder Centre Indianapolis, Indiana and at the Schulthees Klinik Zurich, Switzerland.

Dr Mark Perko commenced practice at NSOSMC in 1990 and specialises in surgery of the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder.
